Uva-ursi & Echinacea Cystitis oral drops is a combination of two distinctive herbs – Arctostaphylos uva-ursi and Echinacea purpurea. It is one of Alfred Vogel’s very first herbal products and used to relieve minor urinary complaints associated with cystitis, in women.

What are Uva-ursi and Echinacea Drops?
Most adult women will have experienced a bout of cystitis. Symptoms include a burning sensation when urinating and an increased urge to go to the toilet.

This remedy contains two herbs traditionally used to treat cystitis. Uva-ursi or Bearberry is a small woody shrub which thrives in the mountains of Alfred Vogel’s Switzerland. This is combined with Echinacea purpurea, well known for its role in the treatment of colds and flu as it strengthens the function of the body’s immune system.

Dosage:
Uva-ursi & Echinacea Cystitis oral drops may be used by adult women over 18 years. Take 15 drops in a little water two to five times daily.Make sure you drink plenty of fluids whilst taking this product.

This product may make your urine appear greenish-brown in colour. This is a harmless effect.

This herbal remedy is for oral use only. Do not take more than the recommended dose. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days, see your doctor to check that symptoms are not being caused by any underlying medical condition.

Ingredients
This remedy contains fresh extracts of Uva-ursi and Echinacea.
1ml of oral liquid contains:
715mg of tincture from fresh Uva-ursi herb (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi (L.) Spreng. herb) (1:4). Extraction solvent: Ethanol 43% m/m
240mg of tincture from fresh Echinacea herb (Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench) (1:12). Extraction solvent: Ethanol 57.3% m/m

Who can’t take Uva-ursi & Echinacea drops?
Men – Cystitis in men is most often caused by an enlarged prostate. Seek advice from a doctor in order to get a diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
Women under 18 years of age
Those allergic to Echinacea or plants of the daisy family (Asteracea/Compositae)
Those allergic to Uva-ursi (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi)
Those with a tendency to allergies such as hives, allergic eczema or asthma
Those currently suffering from an autoimmune illness, immune illness or TB.
Those currently taking an immunosuppressant medicine

Side effects:
This product may make your urine appear greenish-brown in colour. This is a harmless effect.

Like all medicines, this product can cause side-effects although not everybody gets them.

The following minor side-effects can occur, although the likelihood of these occurring (frequency) is unknown:

Digestive symptoms such as nausea and vomiting
Allergic reactions such as a skin rash or itching
