Peppermint Oil is sourced from the UK and has a light, refreshing, minty smell. The oil is colourless.
Peppermint is a comforting oil, which, when blending 1 drop with 5ml Sweet Almond Oil makes a great rub for the stomach if you have over-indulged. 4 drops in a footbath/spa is also wonderful for refreshing tired, aching feet.
When used in an oil burner or diffuser, Peppermint Oil is a good insect repellent.
English Peppermint is considered the best quality available. American Mentha piperita tends to be used in toothpaste and confectionary whereas English Peppermint (also known as Mitcham Peppermint) is that which is used in liqueurs and after-dinner mints.
