German Chamomile Oil is excellent for relaxing and calming a 'buzzing' mind. It can be used in a hot or cold compress when dropped into water. German Chamomile is an excellent addition to skincare products if you have dry or sensitive skin. Blend a drop of German Chamomile with 3 of Mandarin in 10ml Avocado Oil to create a gentle, effective moisturiser.
German Chamomile is so named because it was originally distilled in Germany. When fresh, the essential oil is a deep blue, viscous and has an intense sweetness which some people find off-putting so it should be used in moderation.
The higher price of German Chamomile reflects the low yiled from the dried flower heads and the labour-intensive methods involved in processing the oil.
